Library Responsibilities

• Provide reference and access to closed collection materials (archives, manuscripts, rare books) in Special Collections for in-person and remote researchers
• Participate in the Library's instruction and information literacy program, with an emphasis on primary sources and rare books
• Promote the collections and work of Special Collections through outreach to the campus and local, national, and international community
• Manage Dougherty Reading Room
• Curate Rare Books and Manuscripts unit, including the British studies and historical children's literature rare book collections
