Biographical Note

Willard J. Allen (1919-n.d.) is a native of Ozone, Tennessee. While living in Kansas City, Missouri, Allen operated the Allen Art Service, Inc. which produced various prints. His art depicts the customs and history of the Appalachian Region. Material donated by Kate Peterson, who taught Allen and encouraged his artistic talent. Peterson has also taught in Boone, North Carolina.
