Abstract: The Micah Taul Memoirs is photocopy of the original memoirs of Colonel Micah Taul (1782-1850). These memoirs were begun January 1, 1848 and completed in 1849.
Micah Taul was the son of eighteenth century immigrants to Fayette County, Kentucky. Taul was a lawyer and an officer in the War of 1812. Also included are photocopies of the Gordon family genealogy, photocopies of 1920s letters, and letters between Cratis Williams and Susan Logan, a Taul descendant.

Biographical Note

Born in Maryland, Micah Taul was the son of eighteenth century immigrants to Kentucky. His family settled on Marble Creek in Fayette County, south of Lexington. Taul was a lawyer and an officer in the War of 1812. He eventually settled in Talladega County, Alabama.
