| Abstract: | The Micah Taul Memoirs is photocopy of the original memoirs of Colonel Micah Taul (1782-1850). These memoirs were begun January 1, 1848 and completed in 1849. |
| Micah Taul was the son of eighteenth century immigrants to Fayette County, Kentucky. Taul was a lawyer and an officer in the War of 1812. Also included are photocopies of the Gordon family genealogy, photocopies of 1920s letters, and letters between Cratis Williams and Susan Logan, a Taul descendant. | |

Born in Maryland, Micah Taul was the son of eighteenth century immigrants to Kentucky. His family settled on Marble Creek in Fayette County, south of Lexington. Taul was a lawyer and an officer in the War of 1812. He eventually settled in Talladega County, Alabama.
This collection is organized into two series: 170A. Memoirs Series; 170B. Miscellaneous Series.
