Marshall Ward (December 10, 1906-1981) was born to Miles A. and Tessie Trivette Ward and raised in the Beach Creek community of County, North Carolina. Ward was the great grandson of Council Harmon, a renowned storyteller from Beach Creek. Ward's father also told Jack Tales and other Appalachian story tales. Ward assisted Richard Chase with collecting stories in Beach Mountain.
Marshall Ward Audio-cassettes is organized into two series: Series 200A. Documents; Series 200B. Audio-cassettes.
