Collection Overview

The 1943 ledger contains the names of boilermakers and shop hands and their date of seniority in regards to an agreement between the Boilermaker's Organization and Norfolk and Western Railway Company about pay in the Roanoke Shop. It provides the 1943 Memorandum Agreement between the company and union as to advancement of members. It contains a table of contents by occupation such as coach repairier, painters, or scrap inspectors. Seniority rosters include the employee's surname, first name or initials, seniority date, and retirement date. Pages created during the 1940s include military service.

This ledger contains approximately 110 pages. It does not contain an index of employee names.
