The Birmingham Atlas of Plat Map is a 62 page bound cloth print ledger, measuring 17" x 14", was printed by Bethel W. Whitson of Electric Blue Printing Company. It illustrates all of Birmingham and its surrounding areas, circa 1910. Handwritten notations provide subsequent additions.
The first page illustrates the neighborhoods of Avondale, Graymont, North Birmingham, West End, Elyton, Pratt City, Ensley, and Wylam in relationship to Birmingham. Some points of interest include the Georgia and Alabama train lines, Terminal Station, Saint Vincent's Hospital, the ball park and Howard College.
