Robert E. Tuckwiller is an artist born in Ronceverte, West Virginia in 1953. His work focuses on realistic pastoral country settings and natural environment.
Reverend David King wrote "West Virginia Hills" for his wife Ellen King in 1879. It was published in a Glenville, West Virginia newspaper under her name. In 1885, H.E. Engle of Lloydsville put the poem to music. In 1961, West Virginia legislature adopted the song as the state's official song, changing "girlhood" to "childhood".
