Historical Note

The Oakland Heights Sanatorium is located on the southern Asheville, North Carolina. It was the only sanatorium in Asheville where tuberculous patients were not received. Accommodations consisted of a first-class hotel, modern appliances used for relief and curing nervous and chronic diseases, and bath-based treatments.
