Giles Graham (1818-1897) was a cattle broker from the Old Fields township, North Carolina. In 1849, he married Mary Moore in Floyd County, Virginia. In 1850, a 65 year old Rebecca Moore, presumably Mary's mother, lived with them. They moved to Ashe County in around 1853. He was a member of Ashe County's Public School District Number 69 Committee in the mid-1850s and a member of Blackburn Methodist Episcopal Church for 30 years. The Grahams children include Patterson, Ishmael, Mariah, Lorenzo, and Reece.
The Graham Family Papers consist of receipts to and from Jiles Graham for debt payments, promissary notes, tax receipts, day books, and school committee documents.
