Wilkes Central High School, located in Moravian Falls, North Carolina, was formed in 1953 from a merger of Wilkesboro High School and North Wilkesboro High School. Under the direction of Michael Matheny, the Wilkes Central Marching Band participated in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the St. Petersburg parade.
This document was created to add humor to the Wilkes Central Marching Eagle Band's attempt to be selected to march in the Rose Bowl parade. It also illustrates the self-deprecating humor characteristic. It was modified from a humorous bank document, ca. mid-1970.
