Collection Overview

The Delaware Water Gap Stereograph is a 4.25" x 7" stereoscopic photograph intended for use with a stereoscope. This card stereograph, titled "View at Promontory," depicts the Delaware River as it cuts across a mountain ridge to form the Delaware Water Gap. The Delaware Water Gap, located in Pike County, Pennsylvania, runs along the New Jersey border. It is a National Recreation Area within the National Park Service's northeast region.
