Three Centuries of Drama

Three Centuries of English and American Plays is an enourmous resource for the drama student, English student, or history/ sociology student. In this collection is housed all the major dramatic works that were written in English from 1516-1830. American works date from 1714-1830 and British plays are included from the 1500s onwards. Some non-English plays, which have been translated into English, are also included.
All categories of drama are included in the collection, such as comedies, tragedies, histories and farces. The plays have been divided into the following categories:
- 1516-1641 Elizabethan, Shakespearean, and Jacobean Plays
- 1642-1700 Restoration Drama
- 1701-1750 Early Eighteenth Century
- 1737-1800 Late Eighteenth Century
- 1737-1800 Larpent MS Plays
- 1714-1830 American Plays
