Microform Collection
This unique collection contains material published on the North American continent from 1639-1819. It contains what is thought to be the first book published in America, the Bay Psalm Book , published in 1640. The microfiche collection is a great resource for obtaining original documents from the early history America. You will find sermons given in churches during the colonial period, political essays dealing with the Native Americans, and numerous papers regarding the laws and customs of early America.
The Early American Imprint Series is divided into two parts: Evans , the first series; and, Shaw-Shoemaker , the second series (1801-1819). Both series are available on microfiche and bibliographic records for the titles in both series are included in WNCLN's Library Catalog. .
