. for wordless picture books use the subject heading stories without words, then limit your
search to the IMC.
. for storytelling ideas use the subject heading storytelling, then limit your search to the
IMC.
. for picture books with unusual design formats use the subject heading toy and movable
books
. "limit/sort" function: to limit your search to just those items located in the IMC, choose the "Advanced Keyword" option, choose your search strategy from the key word drop-down menu and enter your search term(s). Next, under "Location" choose "ASU IMC" and click "GO!"
. to find individual biographies of authors or illustrators, enter a subject search for the
person's name, last name first. (Example: polacco patricia)
. to find professional resources on emergent literacy, enter a key word search for
emergent literacy, or a subject search for children language.
