Works for the Bandora
William Barley and Thomas Morley are the only sixteenth-century composers
to print books specifically calling for the bandora or pandora. Barley
uses the instrument to accompany a vocal part and alone; Morley calls
for a consort of pandora, two viols, lute, and cittern.
