Summary of Preface:

(f. 2r) "Regole per quelli che non fanno cantare" repeats the same content as in Spinacino 1507a, but without the Latin translation. Also, there is one minor change in the triplet rhythms, which now include three signs: a stem with one curved flag, one with two curved flags, as in Spinacino, and an additional sign with three curved flags.

In the text, Bossinensis calls the first course the "canto," the second course the "sotana," and the third course the "mezzana."

There follows on f. 2v a dedication to "D. Hieronymo Barbadico Prothonotario" and a poem signed "B.M.F."--both in Italian.
