BOOK RETURNS

Any materials due to be returned have been extended to July 31, 2020 but everyone is encouraged to return materials as soon as possible.  This includes all items from all ASU locations with the exception of ILL and ABC items.  For ILL items, contact ILL Manager, Dianna Johnson, at moodydm@appstate.edu or 828-262-2826.  

Locker keys may be dropped off in the book drops but please seal in an envelope before placing in the box.

Our book drops are available and will be picked up regularly. Please do not place technology items in the book drops as the technology may be damaged.   Additionally, please do not place rental textbooks from the Bookstore in the Library book drops.  Review the Bookstore website for instructions on textbook returns

TECHNOLOGY RETURNS

Due dates for technology items have been extended to July 31, 2020 but everyone is encouraged to return items as soon as possible.

For those in the Boone area, the library will provide a drop box for technology returns on May 11 and 12 from 10am - 3pm.  Please see details below:

  • The drop box will be located under the covered area by the entrance doors closest to the Library parking deck and bus stop. 
  • We will use tape to mark six foot distances for social distancing purposes.
  • Appointments will not be required. Students can park in the garage, drop off material, and leave without interaction with staff or entry into the building.
  • Patrons must wear face coverings while returning equipment to campus.
  • Please revise tech return procedure to an include a requirement that patron wear face covering while returning the material. 
  • The process will be monitored by Library staff inside the building. Staff will use a mobile iPad robot for questions.

 For mail returns, please use shipping materials that will protect the equipment during transport and send to the address below. Contact Technology Checkout Desk Manager, Michael O'Hara, at oharams@appstate.edu or 828-262-2770 to arrange your returns.
