Notes of Self Love Project

Please stop by the Programming Space on the main floor and take a look at Sharon Taylor’s (Access Services) “Notes of Self Love Project.” The Project will be on display through February 16.

The project is described as:
• Notes of Self-Love Project was started to promote mental wellbeing, self-love, and to recognize that you are not alone in your feelings.
• Each individual writes their own words of encouragement on a heart that means something to them. By sharing it in a public setting with others we find community and share in the power those words hold.
• Please feel free to add your own heart to the wall.

For the previous three years around Valentine's Day, Sharon has collected the hand-written notes penned by our students, staff, and faculty. The collection is on display. You also may wish to participate in the “Guess How Many Hearts” contest to win a candy bonanza.
Included on the Visualization Wall is a video montage of statements about self-love by students, staff, and faculty in the Belk Library.
