• Arts and Humanities Citation Index (Web of Science) Indexes over 1,300 arts and humanities journals, and selected articles from social science and science journals. Indexes articles, bibliographies, editorials, letters, reviews, and more.
• Education Full Text Indexing: 1983-present; Full Text: 1996
  Provides citations, with abstracts for articles of at least one column in length taken from over 550 English-language periodicals and yearbooks published in the United States and elsewhere.
• ERIC 1966-present (updated monthly)
  Sources include journal articles, research reports, curriculum and teaching guides, conference papers, and books. Each year approximately 30,000 new records are added.
• JSTOR Full Text
  JSTOR specializes in making available the back issues of academic journals in a wide variety of humanities and social science disciplines. Issues are available both as images and as text. Searching is possible within each title and across the whole database.
• Left Index Political Research Associates, 1982-present
  Provides citations to articles from journals that "have a Marxist, radical or left perspective." Subjects covered include politics, economics, the labor movement, ecology and environment, women's studies, race and ethnicity, social and cultural theory, sociology, art and aesthetics, philosophy, history, education, law, and globalization.
• LexisNexis Academic Full Text (updated daily)
  Contains extensive array of full text news (newspapers, wire services, transcripts and newsletters), business, industry, and company information, legal resources-including federal and state law, medical titles and reference sources.
• Project Muse Full Text, 1996- to date
  Over 160 journals from more than 20 not-for-profit, scholarly publishers are currently offered in Project Muse.

  Contains over 40 million records cataloged by OCLC member libraries throughout the world: Appalachian State University Library is a member (OCLC member code=NJB). Includes records representing 400 languages. Electronic interlibrary loan requesting is available for qualified patrons. WorldCat is not an index to journal, magazine, and newspaper articles.
