Students at Northeast State Technical Community College-Mountain City, Tenn. may check out materials from the A.S.U. Library with a valid NSTCC identification card. All A.S.U. Library rules and regulations will apply to NSTCC students.
Northeast State Technical Community College-Mountain City, Tenn. students are responsible for paying their overdue fines. There is a four-day grace period following the due date for which no fines are charged. The fine rate is twenty cents per day per book. One overdue notice will be sent to the student. If material is not returned within three weeks of the due date, the account will be considered delinquent and accounts will be forwarded to NSTCC. These students will not be allowed to graduate, receive grades or register for the next quarter at NSTCC.
NSTCC ID cards are not accepted for Media Services, Films/Videos/DVDs, or Interlibrary Loan. Cards may not be used to check out sound recordings from the Music Library.
In lieu of a $10 fee required from each student, Northeast State Technical Community College has made an initial deposit of $250 to A.S.U. Library. This amount will cover the replacement cost for any lost item plus any unpaid fines. If items are not returned and fines paid within two months following notification to Northeast State Technical Community College-Mountain City, Tenn., the amount will be deducted from the deposit. No reimbursement/credits will be issued. Once the deposit is depleted, NTSCC will make another deposit in an amount to be determined.
