Study Table with Lockers
Location
Study tables with lockers are located on the 3rd floor, along the west and northeast walls.
Eligibility
Graduate students enrolled for the semester during which the study table with locker is to be used. Please note that the study table you have checked out is available for use by any patron during those times that you are not using it.
Assignment
Tables/lockers are assigned on a "first come, first served" basis at the Circulation Desk on the 1st Floor. Assignments are made Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Requests for a specific study table with locker are accepted only under special need circumstances.
Loan Period
The study table loan is for one semester. Renewals are not allowed, although you may check one out, on a first-come, first-served basis, each semester you are eligible.
Fines
Failure to return the key by the due date will result in the accumulation of fines of $1.00 per day up to a maximun of $50.00.
Locks
Lockers are secured with a key lock. Additional locking mechanisms are not permitted on lockers. Use of such will result in loss of locker privileges
Conditions of Use
Posting notices on study tables and/or lockers, covering the locker vents, and storing food and drink in lockers is prohibited. Violation of these prohibitions will result in the loss of locker privileges. While personal equipment, such as laptops, may be stored in the lockers, the Library and the University assume no responsibility in the case of loss or damage to personal items.
Library Materials
All library materials kept in the lockers must be properly checked out. Library staff will routinely check the lockers to verify that all library materials are properly checked out. If library materials that are not properly checked out are found in a locker, the locker will be emptied and privileges withdrawn.
Maintenance
Please report any problems with the study tables and/or lockers to the 1st Floor Circulation Desk.
Clearing Lockers
Lockers are to be cleared by the end of each checkout period. If the assignee fails to clear the locker of all materials by the 4th day after which the locker key was due, library staff will:
- remove library materials, checking them in and returning them to the shelves;
- hold personal items until the 3rd day of the next semester/session, after which they will be disposed of.
- assignee will be billed for non-returned key
