General Information:
- Reserve materials can be paper and/or electronic (WEB accessible) format.
- Reserves materials are found in the Library Catalog , using course number or the instructor's name
- Web accessible reserves are available 24 hours a day, on and off campus.
- Non-WEB accessible reserve materials are available from the Circulation/Reserve Desk when the library is open.

What materials can I place on Reserve?
- Circulating library materials.
- Lecture notes, sample exams for the course, homework assignments, audio tapes, videos, DVDs.
- Personal copies of books.
- Photocopies of journal articles or book chapters. Include a copy of the original copyright statement with each photocopied item.
What materials can I not place on Reserve?
- Course packs.
- Periodical volumes/issues.
- Reference material. (When possible, Reference items may be placed on Reserve for limited periods of time.)
- Books obtained through Interlibrary Loan.
- Consumables, such as standardized tests.
Please note that the Library reserves the right to refuse your request to place materials on reserve if, in its best judgement, the Library determines that:
- The amount of material is not reasonable. *
- The number of copies is not reasonable.
- The effect of placing it on Reserve would be detrimental to the market for the work
* Faculty who need large numbers of library books placed on Reserve, for which Reserves does not have space for the entire semester, should contact
